Nedjma is a Montreal-based artist with roots spanning Iran, Algeria, and Germany, although born and raised in Montreal. From a young age, Nedjma has been passionate about painting, initially influenced by her cultural heritage and the vibrant traditions of Persian miniature art. Under the guidance of a teacher in traditional Persian miniature painting, she honed her skills and developed a deep appreciation for the intricate techniques and storytelling abilities of this art form. Currently, Nedjma is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at Concordia University, where she continues to explore and expand her artistic horizons.
Through my art, I strive to capture and convey my experiences and emotions using elements from nature and ancient symbols. My painting techniques are deeply inspired by the traditions of Persian miniature, Indian miniature, Chinese, and Tibetan paintings. Occasionally, I blend these techniques with Western mediums such as oil painting, creating a fusion that bridges cultures and histories.
