Pascale Sévigny-Vallières is an illustrator and author from Quebec City. She has a background in graphic design with a bachelor’s degree at UQAM and a master’s degree at Université Laval. She illustrates books for children. She is also continuing her work of research and creation around the representations of mental health issues.

"I’m interested in visual representation of mental health issues. My personal work explores this subject around character’s portraits. I try to represent the character’s inner world through my creations. I like to experiment with various materials through visual explorations. I usually use mixed media to achieve my projects. I draw, paint, and write poetry. Collage is at the center of my artistic practice to create my illustrations, but also to write."
