At the age of 15, Sylvain Amblard had the opportunity to discover Japan—a journey that became a true turning point in his life. This immersive experience into a new and different world left a profound impact on his artistic vision.
With a background as a 3D artist in animated film, Sylvain draws on this expertise to create works that blend traditional aesthetics with contemporary design. In 2019, he began the Precious Animals series, a heartfelt tribute to nature and to Japanese and Chinese philosophies.
Rooted in nature and traditional Asian culture, Sylvain creates illustrations and handcrafted art pieces for animal lovers, collectors, and enthusiasts of Japanese culture. His serene and vibrant world invites viewers into a space of beauty and tranquility.

Alejandra Sanchez Vallejo
Originally from Manizales, Colombia, Alejandra Sanchez Vallejo (2004) is an emerging artist currently studying at Concordia University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Studio Arts. Passionate about painting, she primarily works with gouache and oil paint. Inspired by nature and animals, she begins her artistic process with photography, capturing everyday scenes that she later transforms into paintings, revealing beauty in the ordinary.

Shelley Tian
Shelley is a Montréal based illustrator and tufting artist. She has been drawing and crafting ever since she can remember. Her art is a manifestation of the little world in her head, hence the vibrant colours and dreamlike themes. Her biggest inspirations are nature, still life photography, and vintage art deco posters. Her art style is defined by vibrant colour combinations and clean line work. She likes to explore themes of surrealism, feminism, independence, and friendship.
Shelley’s illustrations have been published in zines and participated in exhibitions. She has collaborated in several creative projects and wishes to inject her unique vision into more art mediums in the future.

From June to August 2025, My Friend Frankie (MFF) is teaming up with Café Saint-Henri to present a seasonal consignment series. Over the course of three months, three visual artists will each be featured for a month-long wall installation, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their work in one of the city’s most frequented cafés.
